Policy and Advocacy Overview

Advocating for public policies that meet the needs of low and moderate income New Yorkers and their communities is a central part of UNH’s mission.  UNH regularly consults with its member agencies to identify these issues and works to address them through  advocacy and policy research.

During annual City and State budget planning and negotiations, UNH actively works to protect and enhance vital human service programs. Click to view UNH's City and State Budget & Policy Priorities.
